Pull up a chair and have yourself some bread and pumpkin soup.  I’ve never actually had any pumpkin soup myself.  The one thing I did just have is pumpkin empanadas.  They are baked turnover that has pumpkin filling inside.  It’s an extremely yummy rich pastry!

Warm your heart with the richness of home

Happy Saturday!!  I woke up entirely too early, so I’m still a bit groggy.  Though I wanted to get this post done before the rest of the day gets a bit crazy.  Nutmeg has released another super fantastic set that really evokes tender warm feelings of the coming fall season.

Besides that.. it’s like being at grandma’s and warm bread in the oven and the smell of spices and apples and yes I’m hungry.

The scorching sun

I felt the intensity of the sun a few days ago when I walked out of the office for lunch.  The interior of my vehicle was super hot to the touch.  The index was about 89° F, which just tells me that our summer might be even worse.

Talking about heat, my picture is featuring a new release by Minimal, which is a scene from Arizona.  Now the heat in that state is much dryer than what we have here in Florida.  The humidity is what gives it that feeling of it being much hotter.  The absolute thing that I can remember from visiting Arizona was a trip to Phoenix where I got a nose bleed.  Yep, not fun.

The Farmers Market

I grew up in a small rural community where there was a large farmers market.  Growing up we went there a few times and as I got older and passed through there on a number of occasions I can recall the countless stalls of vegetables and fruits that would adorn each vendor space. It’s something that I still enjoy today, is visiting the outdoor markets, whether its fruits, vegetables, or flowers. I just love that ambiance.

I am showcasing items from Dust Bunny in collaboration with Consignment. The first is the farmers market set available at FaMESHed.  Seriously, a fantastic set and every piece can be used on its own.  The bicycles are at Kustom9 and again a collaboration between the two creators.  JIAN came out with some adorable ducks that come in several versions as they are known for doing.  You get static, wandering or companions.  The sunflowers is another new release by JIAN and come with texture change options.  You can find both these new sets at Belle Event.  The last item I’m showcasing is a new seasonal tree by Little Branch.  The Red Bud tree can be found at newest round of Boardwalk.

The rest of the decor is listed below, though most of it is from Dust Bunny.  I really love being able to use some of the older items.  I’m shooting to do more of that.

Petit Lac Des Cygnes

An introduction.

“The Southwest French countryside, near the foothills of the Pyrenees mountain range is the inspiration we drew upon for our home.” 

First and foremost Petit Lac Des Cygnes is a private estate.  Tomorrow it will open to the public and seriously, you must visit.  I’m in awe of the work the owner has done.  I may be a little bias as she’s a good friend and since the day I met her she’s beauty and grace with a lot of spunk in her and amazing talent.

Upon landing you will be greeted by the sounds of chickens and goose.  Don’t let that fool you.  What lays ahead is totally inspiring.

These are just some of the scenes that I captured and using my own windlights. Having your sounds on is a must.

The gardens were my favorite and again I’m still in awe of the work that was put into every detail from the surround landscape used that blended so well into the sim to little inclines around the sim and walls and the mixture of grasses.  Plus the scattering of animals around the estate were just right. Can you spot me?

I didn’t take any pictures of the inside as it’s a private home, though it’s as beautiful as the outside.

I ended with this last picture, which after strolling the gardens or perhaps doing the maze you’ll find on the grounds you might want to take a break in the cafe and enjoy a meal.  It’s interactive with meals  and board games and best of all you don’t need reservations.
