Positano Farmhouse

The description below says it all.  I opted to do a little mixing of cultures by throwing in all the cactus going with some southwestern Mexican ambiance as well.

If fresh air, lush greenery, peacefulness and the lack of distraction entices you, then this charming stone farmhouse out in the countryside in the south of Italy awaits you.

The Positano Farmhouse is a cozy one level home with three rooms. The flooring in two rooms are patterned hardwood and the smaller room with terracotta tiles. The windows and doors made from the finest wood and the roof has beautiful high quality clay tile shingles shipped in all the way from Portugal, have now settled into rustic charm and beauty over the years.

Just imagine waking up and feeling the cool morning breeze from the open windows as the linen curtains blow gently in the wind. As you sip your coffee you can hear the roosters crowing and a sense of peacefulness fills you and you know you’re home.

In the creators own words, “La Petite Ferme (the little farm) is a century-old restored stone farmhouse. A peaceful retreat that will make you feel like you are in the middle of the french countryside near Normandy. There are 2 comfortable bedrooms in the upper floor (one can be used as bathroom). Downstairs an eat in kitchen with a wood-beamed vaulted ceiling and living room.. The charming walls have been restored by masters in their craft to be strong and stable without losing the original rustic quality of this tranquil home. The gardeners have also been hard at work taming the 50 year old vines that grow against the house. The downstairs kitchen area was originally a cow barn and still has the original barn doors that you can throw open on warm summer days while enjoying a glass of wine and trying out new french recipes.”

The first snow

My first snow for the Second Life winter season.  I’m showcasing a new house by {moss&mink| currently out at FaMESHed.  It has 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, a large living area, and a sun room.  It includes hardwood flooring, French doors, and accordion-style doors throughout the house with porch/patio access. The bridge is from Dutchie and can also be found at the event.

Good morning! I’m back from the short two weeks break.  It was gone before I knew it.  There is a bunch of new home and garden decor that I’ve missed so I look forward to showing some of it and all the new stuff thats coming out.  I’ve also come back when the season has gone from fall into winter.  I may be stuck between two seasons the coming week, though yeah the first winter snow has fallen on my virtual world.

Good morning! Very little time left this morning, though got some great finds for you today.  Looking for something small and cozy to spend the fall season snuggled up?  Ariskea has released this cute old cottage house at Kustom9 — a one room build with a 35 land impact.  I used it to house this beautiful dining set by Minimal out now at Collabor88.  Several pieces and really like the different styles of chairs that accompany it.

I’m also featuring some newness from Hive.  It doesn’t get better than coffee on the go.  Few versions and best of all you can customize with your name by using the hud.  The leather tote is available in 4 colors.  The journal is a group gift, and all can be found at the mainstore.  The boxwood topiary is at Kustom9, and just great for all sorts of decor needs.

Unexpected winds

The title came from having an unexpected sneeze. I’m fighting a cold. Like it came out of nowhere. It sucks to be sick.  I don’t know about you all, but I get a little grumpy when sick.  I’m also contagious, as a friend said I gave him the cold through skype.  Moi?  Sneeze.
