I traveled over the weekend towards the southern part of Florida, and my goodness, I had forgotten how much worse the hotness and humidity can be there. The moment you step out of a cool air conditioned vehicle or building, that oppressive heat just overwhelms you. You don’t really see umbrellas being used as protection from the sun, at least not the locals. I may have to give it a go one day.
For my picture, an umbrella seemed like the perfect accessory to my outfit. I’m still trying to get more comfortable doing a mixture of fashion and decor. The stairs backdrop from Minimal, available now at Equal10, gave me that opportunity. The hair, jewelry and dress are all from this round of FaMESHed. Sunglasses from Bondi, are at the current round of Cosmopolitan.
It’s been a long while since I put any words other than credits to my blog. Today I’m making an effort to start back up. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far. It’s hot and sticky out for us most days, and lately lots of rain. I’m in Florida. I like the sun, though it can feel very oppressive after a bit. I like the rain much better, and especially enjoy hearing the sounds of rain. I’ve played the sounds of a rainstorm when I’ve had trouble sleeping. I don’t think it helps me fall asleep any faster, though it’s rather soothing in any case.
Now to what I’m showcasing. If you love the outdoors in Second Life, Thor has a new gacha, titled, “Our Summer”, which is an amazing set for spending time out on the water. Raft, floaties, hat, music, food and drinks sums up all the essentials you need to make a perfect day of it. Want some company? JIAN has a new release of pets, the Akita Inus, are adorable pups. It’s a gacha collection. The pups are available as a young pupper or adult version, and differences of companion and wanderer, some held versions and other options.

It’s got three fur textures, and wanders, follows or is idle.
The vintage tea cart is from Ceibo, a new line of premium decor, under the well established brand of Bondi. Keep an eye out for more.
Speaking of new brands, even though they’ve been established for a few months, it’s a fairly new brand for me. FINCA, a creator of home and garden has just released some awesome willow trees and wild grasses. I’m also using some other flower and grass from the creator. Make sure you visit and check out all they have to offer. I’ve shown the inside of Sunnyvale, but here is a glimpse of the last release by Onsu. It’s described as a quaint second empire style home, and it’s got a lot of beautiful details inside and out. This is the white version of six colors.
